Wow, just wow! Thanks for your long letter! Raya is so
beautiful! How does she behave, is she a good dog? Did you take the photo of her with your new
phone?
Yay, girl, congratulations on the successful exam session!
Well, I know that these days you are again very busy, so maybe my wishes are a bit
late, but anyway, you did well and I am
proud of you!
It’s really fascinating that you enjoy watching hockey and
it’s great that you attend such diverse events. I can only imagine the thrill!
Korean food, aah!
Girl, you eat every dish from my Korean food bucket list, I’m crying,
this is fate! Hopefully one day you will experience it in Korea and with me
(hehe!). Thinking that you have found
such a wonderful friend like Heejin who is eager to cook for you, makes me feel
calm and I know that you are in safe hands and protected.
February
Apparently, this is my least favourite month of the year.
The start of 2017 was very optimistic for me – I haven’t felt happy, without
having done something great in my life, for a long time. However, the February mood
struck me like a truck. The shifting weather, the dirty and slippery snow, the
tiredness, lack of sleep, and also the lack of fresh and nutritional food,
typical for warmer seasons, got me to a state of mental breakdown, like
literally. What you “saw” during out Facebook chat during the weekend was just
a small part of the mess I have become for the past couple of weeks. And I am
very sorry and ashamed for that. The exact reasons for this can be explained,
but I do not wish to do it. One thing I know is that you can escape for some
period of time, but if you let yourself be lazy for a while, you are directly
going back there, in the depression hole. And another thing - It is easy to give hope when you feel good,
but it is really difficult to receive it when you feel lonely.
Anyway,
let me finish this post in the most positive way. Today is meant to be a day for wisdom and I
want to share something, related to the things I just shared above. One is a
song and the second (and even more related) – a quote.
As you know, Bangtan Boys are having a comeback. In my last posts I wrote
about Spring day – the teaser and the MV. Recently they also released the
music video for Not Today. The song
has a very different vibe – it is energetic and motivating. While Spring day aims to provide consolation
and “a calm pat on the shoulder”, Not Today
does it in the opposite way – by pushing you out of your shell, telling you to
fight and never surrender to your fear. Honestly, after Spring day, I really needed something like Not Today. Emotional songs are very appreciated and loved, but they
make me… very emotional. It’s a bit of a relief that they released such strong
song to cheer us up (the fans).
So,
this is one of the things I wanted to share. I hope that you will like it and
it will motivate you during your new semester.
To (really) finish today’s Wednesday
Wisdom, I am posting the promised quote, which I hope will inspire both of us
to never give up and to be braver in our dreams. This time I will join you as a
recipient of the wishes I always send you, because, apparently, I also need
them. This quote is from Tomorrow, a
song from the early years of Bangtan. The lyrics really relate to us, even
though we are not the same age. I cannot say this is the exact translation, the word order varies, depending on who translated it, but I will share the one from colorcodedlyrics.com:
Hugs,“Because the dawn right before the sun rises is the darkest, even in the far future, never forget the you of right now.”
